The Professional Development Center performs force development by organizing the unit's professional and leadership development, monitoring and technical skills development under the auspice of the Total Force concept. Through the PDC, all forces are strengthened and improved to make more useful to the services, sister services, and their respective commanders.
The Professional Development Center (PDC) consists of the Career Assistance Advisor (CAA) and First Term Airman Center (FTAC). The CAA manages the PDC, providing oversight of FTAC, briefings, and seminars.
The Career Assistance Advisor (CAA) advises personnel regarding their future in the Air Force to include: career job reservations, retraining, special duties, assignments and personnel programs directly impacting them and their retention in the Air Force. CAAs work closely with professional organizations and appropriate experts from your local MPF and leadership to functional managers and AFPC. Additionally, the CAA works hard to ensure the highest quality of information and programs are offered through the Professional Development Center.
