Like many Americans, I grew up looking forward at the end of the school year to the freedom and adventures of summer. I was a “summer camp kid” who thrived on the chance to meet new people and “reinvent” myself as a budding new artist, athlete, and outdoorsman. My summer adventures stood as confidence builders and the friends I made saw me through the challenges of adolescence. Now, as a military mom, I rely on summer camps to get my son connected to new friends and skilled in growing talents. I look forward to his stories of summer adventure and revel in capturing evenings and weekends of family activity where leave and finances allow.
As summer approaches, the 81st Force Support Squadron (81 FSS) is proud to offer Airmen and families of all ages, a wide variety of camps, programs, activities, and adventures. For the kiddos, check out our Golf 4 Kids Clinic, Kids Bowl Free program, group and private swim lessons, Family Night at the Bay Breeze Event Center, or the Youth Center’s array of Youth Summer Camps, which include focused weeks dedicated to archery, basketball, soccer, Missoula Theater, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M), and much more.
