Commander’s CYP Parent Update

Parents, allow me to say thank you for weathering the pandemic storm with us. Your understanding and support as we continue to work our way through it is invaluable. Now, as we begin to see a promising outcome, we have reason to celebrate while still being vigilant in keeping our children's healthy and safe. What follows are some updates and things to look forward to in the coming weeks: 

- WELCOME BACK: In the next few weeks we'll welcome you back inside our facilities! This means accompanying and signing your children in as well as taking them to their program/activity rooms. We hope to be able to offer extended time in the future, but for now please work with our staff as we cautiously move forward. 

- OPEN HOUSE: Shortly after welcoming you back, we'll open our doors and invite you in to meet our providers and leaders and tour the facilities. We can't wait to re-establish a more tangible parent/provider bond that is critical to our children's care and development. Please understand, we'll be adhering to all Public Health recommendations during the open house. 

- CONTINUED HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES: We simply can't state this enough; in addition to our children's development, health and safety are paramount. We partner with local medical professionals as well as adhere to all DoD mandates that seek to protect our children. We know the stress and inconvenience these measures may provide and we acknowledge that different perspectives of these measures may exist among us. Nonetheless, the continued health and safety for our children lies in adherence to those same guidelines and recommendations. As partners in our children's care we will continue to do so, but are always willing to discuss these measures with our parents and will remain vigilant for the latest guidance that may change our posture. 

As always, we welcome your inputs and perspectives. We encourage you to contact us through the Parent Advisory Board or our CYP staff directly. We thank you for your partnership and we look forward to strengthening it together. Thank you.
